Lan’s research interests focus on data disaggregation to understand structural determinants of health and health inequities within Asian American (AA), Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (NHPI) populations. Her dissertation work focuses on understanding the prevalence and determinants of cardiovascular disease in AA and NHPI older adults, and how neighborhood social environments impact disparities in CVD health.
