Julie came to OSU in 2015 from University of Colorado at Boulder, where she completed a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology one year prior. Her research and teaching interests include adult learning, dialogue as a learning tool, inclusive and intercultural education, identity issues in learning, contemplative teaching methods, and qualitative and community-based research methods. While completing her doctorate (2009-2014), Julie served as a program evaluator at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Prior to that she worked as a graduate advisor, a Licensed Professional Counselor with youth and families, and an outdoor educator. Julie also holds master's degrees in Experiential Education (MS) and Community Counseling (MS).
