Hi, I'm Jaime, and I teach Cuban Salsa 1 and 2 at Oregon State. I've been dancing Cuban Salsa since early 2009. My first foray into dance was in high school when I joined the dance team and learned jazz, ballet, modern, and hip-hop. I went to college at Oregon State, where I studied Business Management and mostly focused on cross-country, track, and triathlons. I had friends recommend the ballroom dance classes to me, so I took those and got excited about west coast swing for a bit. After graduating college, I decided to finally learn to salsa dance. That was when I took a class from Rumbanana Salsa Group, and I've been hooked ever since. I love teaching new students how to dance and can’t wait to see who the new Cuban salsa junkies will be.
