Academic interests: 

Health behaviors, and the prevention of chronic diseases in special populations, including high-risk women and seniors. Special research emphasis on the use of incentives, individual social support and community-based supports for behavior change among low-income pregnant women who smoke, menopausal and postmenopausal women who smoke and are at risk for selected chronic diseases, such as osteoporosis, and obese women who are at risk for Type II Diabetes.
