We are building powerful community connections and meaningfully expanding our reach.
We empower and foster collaborations among researchers, students, educators and community stakeholders by using awareness, research, education and services to help improve the life-long health and well-being of every person, every family and every community.
We are excited to announce that the OHSU Moore Institute for Nutrition & Wellness and the OSU Moore Family Center for Whole Grain Foods, Nutrition & Preventive Health have joined forces to combine our annual nutrition conferences.
We have renamed the Food, Nutrition and Health Update conference to “Oregon Nutrition Update”, and will alternate locations between Portland and Corvallis. In 2019, the conference will be held in Corvallis.
Working together, we will be able to amplify our common message about the important role nutrition plays in the health of Oregon communities. We hope you are as excited about the possibilities of this collaboration as we are!
The Whole Grain Summit convened scientists, business, and health professionals from around the world to examine where we’ve been and where we’re going in the area of research on whole grains and health.
The overall goal of the Whole Grain Summit 2015 was, from seed to community impact, to identify innovative and collective solutions, synergies and outcomes to bring whole grains to the forefront in health in the population.
We aspired to provide a platform to engage and inspire the whole grain community, across multiple disciplines, from farm to consumers, to come together and work towards collaborative system-wide solutions with true impact on the population’s health.
