Thinking About Participating in a Study?

We value our study participants and work to ensure all individuals and communities involved in our projects feel respected and informed. We typically do not implement new programs directly, but we aim for every research study we conduct to benefit everyone involved. We do this by forming long-lasting partnerships with participating communities, organizations, and individuals, and provide partners with easy-to-understand research summaries that allow them to apply our findings in ways that improve the lives of those they serve.

We follow all protocols for ensuring participant confidentiality and ethical treatment of both our participants and the data they provide in accordance with Oregon State University requirements. All research performed at Oregon State University that involves human subjects is overseen by our Institutional Review Board. Learn more about the review board’s policies and procedures.
