Kinesiology - General, BS

What inspired or interested you about your field of study?

I chose to study kinesiology because I want to make a difference in the world of sports and exercise.

I want to be the athletic trainer that I never had during my years of sports and help teach people about how to take care of themselves.

What did you work on during your internship?

I had the opportunity to learn the administrative side of running a children’s camp at my internship. I saw how policies are made and implemented and how a program can be created from the bottom up.

What do you see as the greatest value of your internship?

Having hands-on experience with something that you want to pursue in the future is one of the most important aspects of learning.

Being able to intern somewhere that teaches you and values your presence is important for learning where you belong in the industry.

What are your post-college dreams?

I plan to move to Mongolia with my husband to open a sports academy for kids. We want to use the academy to share the gospel with youth, as well as teach them how to safely and effectively train and play sports.
