This course helps you create personal practices for sustaining and becoming the person you want to be.
Internship Prep (aka: Personal Development for Personal Success) seeks to assist the student in developing the self. After completing the course, students should have a greater sense of who they are and how they want to live their lives.
The purpose of the material is to expose the student to relevant skills most employers seek in future employees (NACE, 2019), and to assist the student in discovering habits and positive values in order to execute those skills while accomplishing personal goals or a personal mission.
Most courses in experiential learning expose the student to the essential practicalities of daily work in a given field. This preparatory course requires the student to examine the self in relation to everything else. Are you human? Do you work with other humans? Do you have goals? Do you want to accomplish those goals?
This course helps you think deeply and create personal practices for sustaining and becoming the person you want to be.
