Child Development Option
Help children learn and thrive
If you love working with children and want to help them learn and thrive, the Child Development Option is for you.
In the Child Development Option, you’ll explore early childhood education, family relationships and intervention strategies that promote healthy development.
Hands-on experience through coursework and field opportunities will prepare you to make a real impact on children's lives in schools, childcare centers and social service agencies.

Early Childhood Option
Building strong foundations for early learners
If you're passionate about working with young children, the Early Childhood option, available at OSU-Cascades, focuses on child development from birth through age eight.
In the Early Childhood Option, you’ll study child development theories, research-based teaching practices, and early childhood policies while gaining real-world experience through internships.
You’ll be prepared for careers in early education, intervention programs and child advocacy roles.
