Nutrition faculty honored by national nutrition organization
Former COH dean Tammy Bray, and Emily Ho, director of the Linus Pauling Science Center and OSU Distinguished Professor in nutrition, are being honored by the American Society for Nutrition.
Tammy will receive the 2026 Distinguished Fellow of the American Society for Nutrition recognition. This honor celebrates her lifetime achievements and distinguished contributions to the field of nutrition. It is the highest honor that ASN bestows, recognizing scientists with exceptional careers and a longstanding commitment to advancing nutrition science.
Emily has been named a 2026 Excellence in Nutrition Fellow of the ASN. This designation was established to honor outstanding contributions to the field of nutrition and to acknowledge the ongoing achievements of ASN members in the prime of their careers. This fellowship recognizes active leaders who have demonstrated sustained engagement with the society and who have made exceptional impacts through their work in nutrition research and/or its translation. Selection criteria are thoughtfully designed to reflect excellence across both research-focused and translational career pathways.
The two will be recognized at the NUTRITION 2026 annual meeting in July in National Harbor, Maryland.
Tammy says, “It feels especially meaningful to be recognized by the same professional society alongside a former student I admire so much!”
Congratulations on these honors, Tammy and Emily!
