College of Health team walks in Out of Darkness campus event for second year

Joe Leykam, instructor and HDFS applied mental health program director, organized a College of Health team for the Out of Darkness Campus Walk on April 18, marking the second consecutive year the college has participated. The event raises awareness and funds for suicide prevention.

Joe was joined by Marilyn Thompson, professor and school head of human development and family sciences; Kathleen McDonnell, senior instructor and director of the OSU Child Development Center; Lori McGraw, senior instructor II; and Karen Elliott, assistant professor of teaching and public health undergraduate internship coordinator, along with HDFS and public health students.

The College of Health's continued participation reflects a commitment to student mental health and well-being both inside and outside the classroom. The team looks forward to growing participation and fundraising efforts in the years ahead.
