MPH alumnus Chris McFarland featured for mental health work in Benton County

Congratulations to MPH alumnus Chris McFarland, who was the subject of a recent profile in The Corvallis Advocate highlighting his journey from hardship to service as a certified alcohol and drug counselor and mental health professional with the Benton County Health Department Behavioral Health Division.

Chris serves on the county’s Assertive Community Treatment team, providing intensive, community-based behavioral health and substance use services to individuals with serious mental illness. His lived experience and empathetic approach have made a lasting impact on clients and colleagues alike.
