Doctoral student presented reproductive health research at APHA 2025
Congratulations to Amamah Noor, PhD student in public health - health policy, who presented two research papers at the 2025 American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.
Her first presentation, "The impact of advanced maternal age on early pregnancy loss," was co-authored with Sara Imanpour, assistant professor of health administration at Penn State, and Oregon State doctoral student Elvis J. Dun-Dery.
The second presentation, "Variations by geographic and hospital type in the management of EPL in U.S. emergency departments," was co-authored with Marie Harvey, OSU Distinguished Professor of Public Health; Marit L. Bovbjerg, associate professor; and Imanpour.
Both studies were conducted in collaboration with Sara and provide important insights into how early pregnancy loss is experienced and managed across hospital systems in the United States.
Well done, Amamah, and thank you for representing OSU and the College of Health on a national stage!
