Megan McClelland to present at economic cooperation and development workshop in Paris

Megan McClelland, Katherine E. Smith Healthy Children and Families Professor in the School of Human Development and Family Sciences and Endowed Director of the Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children & Families in the College of Health, will deliver two talks at an invitation-only workshop hosted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris on Oct. 15, 2025.

Organized by the OECD Directorate for Education and Skills, the workshop — Supporting Children’s Foundational Skills for a Strong Start to School — brings together members of the OECD Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Network, including representatives from national ministries of education and policy-making agencies.

The event is part of the OECD’s broader 2025–26 project, Shaping the Future: Transforming Lives Through Early Childhood Education and Care, which helps countries revise early childhood policies based on recent research developments from multiple disciplines.
