OSU College of Health shines at the 2024 GSA scientific meeting
The Oregon State College of Health had a strong presence at the 2024 Gerontology Society of America (GSA) Scientific Meeting in Seattle, Washington last week.
The conference showcased the incredible work of current students, recent graduates and faculty, highlighting their contributions to advancing gerontology research.
Past and present HDFS graduate students and faculty had a strong presence at the conference:
- Madi Nichols, current HDFS doctoral student, delivered two presentations:
- Madeline J. Nichols & John Geldhof: Two-Level Confirmatory Factor Analysis of the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) in Mid- and Late Life
- Kelly D. Chandler, Madeline J. Nichols, & Robert S. Stawski: Daily Work-to-Family Conflict and Self-Reported Cognitive Health in Midlife
Additionally, Erica Twardzik, kinesiology alum and assistant professor of kinesiology at the University of Michigan, met with Michelle Odden, associate professor of epidemiology and population health at Stanford University and former College of Health faculty at the event.
It’s wonderful to see College of Health alumni, faculty and students shaping the field of gerontology. Keep up the amazing work!
