Two students awarded Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad

The Gilman Scholarship, sponsored by the US Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, can help cover the cost of studying abroad or an international internship. Recipients are selected from a national pool of applicants.

This year's recipients from the College of Health:

  • Kayla Babb, public health - health promotion and health behavior, will complete her internship in Ecuador doing health care rotations.
  • Fatima Zainel, public health, will study abroad at API American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
