This 14-month program includes a combination of graduate courses and extensive hands-on student teaching experiences in public schools at all levels.
The GRE is not required. We have eliminated this barrier to promote a more equitable, diverse and inclusive student body.
Our program is known around the globe for promoting physical activity and healthy behavior for children with and without disabilities.
Since 1991, Oregon State University has offered one of the most recognized and well-respected professional physical education teacher education programs in the United States.
Real-world experience
Practical opportunities teaching children and youth with disabilities are provided through school physical education placements and also our Individualized Movement and Physical Activity for Children Today (IMPACT) program.
IMPACT offers physical activity opportunities for individuals with disabilities, and at the same time provides you with an essential experience as you learn about working with diverse populations. You’ll enhance your physical education skills, as well as your own personal development.
