Academic interests

With a specialty in plant-based nutrition, Stephanie creates educational classes and written materials highlighting the importance of consuming more plant foods high in nutrient density and low in Calories. Plant-based diets are recommended to reduce risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, cancer, autoimmune disease, obesity and several forms of dementia. Diets that center around plant foods are also associated with disability-free longevity.

She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and holds a Master's degree in Public Health Nutrition and is a Diplomat for the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. Her credentials also include Certified Health Education Specialist, Certified Health Coach and Fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
