My research focuses on gravitational physiology, etiology and treatment of osteoporosis, osteoimmunology, and renal osteodystrophy. The most common reason why we seek medical attention is that something is wrong with our skeleton. Healthy muscle, bone and joints are essential to our well being. My research is predicated on the idea that prevention of a skeletal problem is much more desirable then the best treatment. With this in mind, I am investigating how exercise, nutrition and life style interact to influence life-long skeletal health.
