Health System Transformation and Medicaid Expansion in Oregon: Impacts on Women of Reproductive Age
Oregon has been a leader in Medicaid financing and care delivery reforms. In 2013 faculty in the Heath Policy Program in the CPHHS received funding from the CDC to examine the impact of Oregon’s health care delivery transformation and the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) Medicaid expansion on care utilization and health outcomes for Oregon women of reproductive age (15-44 years). This presentation provides an overview of the six year project and present selected results on the impact of the CCO model and ACA Medicaid expansion on the use of prenatal care, neonatal outcomes, preventive health services, and perinatal depression.
