Biography
Geri Kemper Seeley is a committed public health professional with over a decade of experience spanning academic public health and practice. She has worked domestically and internationally across eight countries, supporting program development, implementation, and evaluation, as well as engaging in research and teaching. With a philosophy that "global is local" and a systems level perspective of health, Ms. Kemper Seeley has supported initiatives focused on maternal and child health, food security, neglected tropical diseases, HIV/AIDS prevention, rural health, and indigenous health.
Passionate about cultivating the next generation of the public health workforce, she is committed to advancing training, education, and leadership development in the field. As an administrator, advisor, and instructor, Geri approaches her work with a learning mindset that is student-centered - bringing compassion, active listening, and transparency to every interaction. Recognizing the interdisciplinary nature of public health, she fosters a collaborative environment that engages students, community partners, faculty, and staff across Oregon State University and beyond.
Ms. Kemper Seeley earned her MPH from Colorado School of Public Health, is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer (Namibia '12-'14) and is currently pursuing her DrPH at George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health. She is an active member of the Consortium of Universities of Global Health-Subcommittee Masters' and Undergraduate Degrees in Global Health working group, the Delta Omega Omega Chapter, and is the secretary of the World Federation of Public Health Association's Professionals' Education and Training working group.
