As a doctoral student, Ellie Smith focused her research on reproductive justice, reproductive healthcare access and disparities for vulnerable populations, and strategic health communication. She examined the reproductive and sexual health experiences of young adult cancer survivors. This research included the design and implementation of a mindfulness intervention and the study of partner communication among female young adult cancer survivors.
