Prepare with Pedro! Wildfires (Storybook)
The Prepare with Pedro Wildfire Storybook (also available in Spanish) is an educational resource developed by the American Red Cross and FEMA to help children understand wildfire safety through storytelling. Aimed at young children, the storybook introduces key terms like wildfire, fire weather watch, and evacuate, and teaches important preparedness actions such as creating a safety zone around homes, developing an evacuation plan, and assembling an emergency kit. It emphasizes involving family members in preparing for wildfires and encourages children to share their knowledge with grown-ups to help keep everyone safe.
