Graduate student hooding ceremony

College of Public Health and Human Sciences

Friday, June 16, 2023

Time and place TBD

Hooding is a special recognition ceremony for our graduate students within the CPHHS, separate from OSU’s commencement.

Each student individually gets recognized, and a faculty member (in most cases, the student’s advisor or program director) will place the student’s hood over their gown. The hood is a triangular fold of cloth that is worn over the back of the gown.

Please note: wearing academic regalia at the hooding ceremony is optional.
