What inspired or interested you about your field of study? And why did you choose OSU/the college?
I have always been interested in the medical field and I learned about pre-therapy programs while in a high school sports medicine class. I had cousins who were a part of the KIN program here and fell in love with campus when I got to visit them.
Tell us about your time at Oregon State and in the college. Is there someone or something who/that helped you be successful?
College was a humbling experience full of ups and downs. I am so grateful for all of the opportunities OSU has brought me and the people I have met along the way as well as my family are the reason I was able to be successful.
What are your post-college dreams/plans?
After college, I will be attending Occupational therapy school at Eastern Washington University, and I am interested in working as a pediatrics or mental health OT in the future.
Anything else you'd like to add?
I encourage future students to step out of their comfort zone and join things with people you don't know. It's okay to do the things you want by yourself even if you are uncomfortable because you never know what opportunities may come from those experiences. I have met my best friends through random roommates, dance classes, and joining a sorority, all things that made me super nervous at first but it will get easier the more you step out of your comfort zone.
