We asked graduates of the Class of 2009 to pass on their advice to new OSU students. Here’s what they had to say.

Form really good relationships with your professors.
Find friends that you can do study groups with.
Do research as an undergrad.
Take classes outside your major that challenge your thinking.

Get involved. The classroom is a part of it, but only one part. Get involved in clubs, learning groups, sports, community activities.
If you’re living on campus alone for the first time,
make sure you eat well and drink (water)!
Go to class everyday!
Study abroad. It’s a great experience and you’ll meet lots of cool people from all over the world!

Study hard, it’s all worth it in the end!
Don’t procrastinate.
Have fun but not too much fun.
Take PAC classes – try them all – rock climbing, yoga, dance (all kinds!), badminton, tennis, snowboarding, fishing, karate, golf, Pilates, swimming…and LOTS more!
Student Health Services is amazing – DO go there if you’re sick.

Meet new people.
Enjoy every minute.
Go to Dixon…what an awesome place!
Find your passion.
Give back to your community.

Don’t mess up your GPA early on, it’s really hard to get it back up!
Lock your bike.
Take care of yourself.
Enjoy yourself, it’s a journey.
