Research Interests
My major research goals are related to improving the quality of lives for individuals with disabilities and maximizing their health benefits through physical activity. To accomplish these goals, I have two specific research areas of foci. My primary line of research focuses on measurement issues in adapted physical activity. I believe that without appropriate measurement, our decisions in educational settings, as well as research findings, can be questionable. My second line of research focuses on motor behavior issues related to individuals with and without disabilities. I am interested in how individuals acquire new movement skills and the impact of an individuals' movement skills on other constructs such as physical activity, health related physical fitness and balance.Short Vita
