Academic interests

Overall, my research interests are in the areas of substance abuse, mental illness, and homeless mentally ill. Currently, I am working on a project in Benton County with Mid-Valley Housing Plus to provide services for the mentally ill. Also, in the area of mental health, we will be shortly investigating the health behaviors of depressed and non-depressed adolescents. During the next two years I assist with the evaluation of the effectiveness of a federal grant project that will provide funding for the Benton County Drug Court with Judge Janet Holcombe. These projects are especially important in view of the current financial challenges that may have far reaching affects, with the impending, potential loss of significant social services in the State of Oregon.
