Research Interests
Clinical and ergonomic application of biomechanics, with current efforts in three areas. Research into preventing falls by older adults aims at improving their ability to recover from a balance loss. Research in accessible public transportation focuses on the transfers of persons with disabilities between a wheelchair and an aircraft seat or toilet. Research into landing mechanics aims at reducing knee injuries and promoting strong bones throughout the lifespan.
