Pre-Therapy and Allied Health

The Pre-Therapy and Allied Health (PTAH) option, within the Kinesiology major, will prepare you for admission into professional preparation programs in the allied health fields, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, physician assistant studies and medical school.

You will have the opportunity to experience classroom, clinical and/or community experiences related to the allied health professions. You may also be exposed to the clinical aspects of your area of interest (e.g., physical and occupational therapy) under the supervision of a licensed professional via the Pre-Therapy/Allied Health Practicum, as well as take courses related to your area of interest (e.g., medical ethics).

All students will participate in the Pre-Therapy/Allied Health Seminar to prepare for professional school.
