HEAD START is a free preschool program for 3 & 4 year olds. To be eligible for the 2014 – 2015 school year:     

  • Your child will be 3 or 4 years old by September 1, 2014 and
  • Your family receives TANF (cash assistance), ERDC (childcare subsidy), JOBs training or SSI (disability) or your family is homeless, the child is in foster care, or your gross income for 2013 is within the Federal Poverty Guidelines. 
  • We work with Early Intervention to meet the needs of children with disabilities. If you have concerns about your child’s development call:  541-753-1202, ext. 106.
  • We don’t provide bus transportation. Call us to talk about transportation options.
  • We have bi-lingual staff (Spanish) and can provide assistance for other languages and communication needs.
  • Nutritious meals and snacks are provided through the USDA Child & Adult Care Food Program.
  • Immunizations must be up-to-date before a child can attend school. Check with your doctor or         
  • Benton County’s Immunization Clinic  (541-766-6835).
  • Morning and afternoon sessions.
