Students must complete a Dietetics Program Application following completion of the pre-dietetics requirements. If you are a graduate, transfer or post-bac student you will need to meet with an academic advisor, your graduate advisor and or the DPD Program Director to determine eligibility for dietetics.
The Dietetics program covers the final 2 years of the academic coursework that includes advanced foods counseling skills, Medical Nutritional Therapy (MNT) courses, and Nutrition Care Process.
Students will receive a verification statement following the successful completion of the Dietetics Program Option. Verification statements are required for application to dietetic internships and for Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) certification. Verification statements must be signed by and obtained from the DPD program director.
