Faculty Recruitment

As part of the Oregon State University (OSU) strategic plan, we are building on our existing strengths in the core disciplines of public health and human sciences by hiring two new tenure track faculty (assistant or associate professor rank, full-time, 9-month) in Environmental Health and Health Policy to establish an accredited College of Public Health and Human Sciences (CPHHS). Faculty will be recruited into integrated schools within the CPHHS and will have primary responsibilities for research, teaching, advising/mentoring MPH and PhD students, providing service to the community and the field of public health, and assisting the College in the strategic development and accreditation of a College of Public Health and Human Sciences.

  • Applicants must have demonstrated expertise in public health as reflected by academic training, research, teaching and service.
  • We seek faculty to complete accreditation requirements for core public health and faculty in health policy and environmental health.
  • Expertise and research strengths that align with the College’s developing centers and institutes (Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families, the Center for Healthy Aging Research and/or the Institute of Public Health Practice and Applied Human Development) are preferred.
  • For applicants in Environmental Health, we are seeking individuals whose expertise and research strengths align with other centers/institutes at OSU (Environmental Health Sciences Center, Superfund Research Program, Climate Change Research Institute, Linus Pauling Institute).
